Web Browser Help
The recommended browser for Moodle is the latest version of Firefox. Chrome v4 and later or Internet Explorer
9 and later
are officially supported, but do have some known display issues. Safari on OSX
has some known issues and is not
recommended.
If you are using a shared computer, please follow the procedures detailed
below. This will help ensure that your SCC course log in
information is kept private and for your use only.
Please disable pop-up blocking software you may have installed on
your computer or pop-up blocking features that you may have enabled in
your browser while using Moodle. Note that some additional
browser toolbars that you may have installed can also act as pop-up
blockers, such asthe Yahoo toolbar, Google toolbar, MSN Toolbar and
more.
If you are experiencing problems viewing the Moodle site or it's
content please ensure that your browser is configured as listed below:
Browser Settings:
For All Web Browsers
- Enable Cookies
- Enable Pop-ups
- Enable Java/script
Firefox Steps
- Firefox > Options > Privacy > check "Do not tell sites anything
about my tracking preferences"
- Firefox > Options > Content > Ensure "Block pop-up
windows" checkbox is not selected or add

Internet Explorer Steps
- Tools > Interenet Options > Privacy> Sites > Add
online.southeast.mrooms3.net as an address and click Allow > OK
- Tools > Interenet Options > Privacy > Uncheck "Turn on Pop-up

Chrome Steps
- Tools > Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Privacy > Content Settings > Cookies >
Select Allow local data to be set (recommended)
- Tools > Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Privacy > Content
Settings > Pop-ups > use the Manage Exceptions button to add

Clear Browser History in Internet Explorer in IE:

Make sure that you’ve logged out of your online class and
that Internet Explorer is still running

Click Tools > Internet Options

Click the “Delete” button
in the Browsing History section

From the choices that appear, check the appropriate boxes to remove browsing history, cookies, temporary
files, and passwords. Click “Yes” when prompted.

Click “OK”
In Firefox, Options > Privacy > > Clear
