Computer Check: Minimum Requirements
Students are responsible for having the necessary equipment and
software for successful completion of the curriculum of the course. Check
college policy for the drop deadlines for a full refund (typically
within the first couple days of class). If you fail to drop by the
deadline for a refund, you will be charged tuition for the course.
Browser Requirements
- Mozilla Firefox is the recommended browser. Download the latest version for
free at
www.mozilla.org.
- Internet Explorer version 10 or newer is recommended.
Version 8 and below not supported at all.
- Chrome has also been working well.
Computer Requirements
- Your Moodle courses will require use of a personal computer.
Although many features may work on a tablet device, such as an iPad
or an Android tablet or a Chromebook, you should NEVER use a mobile
device as the ONLY
device to complete your Moodle course.
- Operating System: Windows Vista or newer for PC users and OS X
for Mac users.
- 2 GB of RAM
- 1 GB of disk space
- Reliable internet connection - high speed preferred for optimal
performance
- Sound card with speakers or headphones
- Word processing software for completing assignments (Microsoft
Office may be required for some courses)

- You should also have an up-to-date Internet protection program,
including anti-virus and anti-spyware, and should frequently update
it.
Course-Specific Requirements
Some classes will require specific software. Be sure to read the
course descriptions and syllabi carefully. If you have a question about
the software required, contact the instructor or the program chair prior
to enrolling. If you enroll in a class that requires certain software,
you must have access to that software in order to complete the course.
